I will guess your right side crank seal is leaking trans oil and air into the motor making it foul the plug but run lean and raise the idle. You allso may have a bad left seal too as awhile back you said you had oil in the ignition. It would be best if you could pressure test the motor then you would know if you had a seal problem but it sounds like you might.

dang i must have put them in wrong or something all my seals are brand new. Ill just have to put it back in the shop and take the motor out again... anything i can put on em to gurantee they will not leak... just to be safe ima goto my dad shop take it apart fix the problem and check over every seal in there. cause the water in the oil kinda scared me

i use a little white lithium grease on my seals. one, it wont make the seal hard. eases in assembly and helps seal the surfaces.

okay the seals looked fine they wernt folded up and the springs are still in em, so ima just get some hondabond or something to make sure everything else is seals

youre getting there man, dont give up youve already come too far. use blue loctite on bolts you are worried about coming loose.

its gonna feel good to get it running right after all this frustration

DO use hondabond, kawabond, or somethingbond specifically designed for sealing case halves. DO NOT use rtv or make a gasket types. they will NOT work.

i'm a BIG fan of yamabond...but i think hondabond, yamabond and kawabond is all the same stuff. ditto on never using rtv or other garbage.

okay so i think water is still getting into the crankcase some how. it was half way up the sight glass standing up now i have to tilt the bike over to even see a line

I am confused. Are you losing tranny fluid or are is the tranny gaining coolant. the sight glass is for tranny fluid level and you say you have to tilt it over to see fluid? if you get coolant in the tranny it will turn milky white and if you are losing tranny fluid thru the water pump seal into the coolant you will see it in the coolant. the water pump shaft has an oil seal and a water seal. maybe one is in backwards or the shaft is damaged (which is common) and is not getting sealed.

Do you mean the crankcase or the transmission case? The crankcase would most likely be the head gasket, the transmission case would most likely be the water pump seal.

its a 98 i pmed you my address if it will fit, but its where ever the sight glass is, the side with the water pump i figured it was the water pump seals. I got the problem with the oil getting into the cylinder worked out i guess, there isnt any tranny fluid in the exhaust and the spark plug is fine.
