Octane booster

I have recently noticed that 92 octane in CA are now becoming 91 octane. Not sure if the lowering octane is of any importance, but I was thinking of adding an octane booster. Can anyone tell me if this could be a bad idea? thanks

I talked with Tim Ferry's mechanic at length this past weekend at Millville, and he said that it was a great idea to run 50/50 race gas/pump gas because they don't have 93 octane out in CA.

He also said the Yoshimura pipe was what Ferry runs on his play bike at his house.

He also said the after-market airbox was well worth the price/performance.
