I have zero miles on a 2005 SMR450... No longer want to store it. What's the best way to sell it? What's a fair selling price?

Well, Blue Book value on this bike in excellent condition is $3400. Yours has 0 miles? Wow, I would value it then at or around 4500 - 4800 with no miles. New condition has to be better than excellent condition. Especially if it is street legal.
I would go with both E-Bay and Craigslist to sell it. Should go fairly quick, especially at tax return time!

Have good clear answers to the question "Why did you not ride it" ! West coast brings higher values but here locally you will get $2500-3000. I would not count on Ebay, Craigslist would be better after you sort out the scammers. Any dealer nearby that would place it in the showroom? TT classifieds?

Where do you live in SO CAL?

I assume it's been stored properly.  Does it start easily?

Definitely check with a local dealer to see if they might put it on the floor.

The problem here is the fact I did ride it. I rode it 5 miles in one direction, and 5 miles back to get home. As Clint Eastwood would say " every man must know his limits." The bike scared me, and that's the honest truth. I'm 43 years old today... at 37 I was still a little foolish.

I know my abilities, and I know my age. Reflex are not like they were when i was 20 or even 30, I knew the bike and me would of ended in a bad mix. I'll find my pride some place else. I'll let the young 45 year olds take (my) risk LOL.

The bike is posted on Craigslist and through out greater Los Angeles, Inland Empire, San Diego, Ventura and even Northern cal cities. Anyone wanting to see her... She's there.

I'm not in a push to sell it. I don't need the money. So I'll wait until I get at least 4500.00

I'm in Murrieta California. You ask does she start easy... Of course! The bike is new! All fluids were removed from the it, including the crab.

You guys are going to hate me. But I ride a CRF230 with inverted forks revalve rear suspension, and a BBR cam. Thats about all I need lol. My son has a KX450 he races... But I can't seem to keep him off my 230. He keep the 230 at his place. I have to go get it to use it. All he says is "Dad it a Maintenance thing."

What I really want to know is... How do I keep my son off my slow bike, as he so kindly stated LOL. This could be a new post.

Seen the post on CL, looks like a nice bike but I am not in need of it as I have the 610SM trim. You will probably have to wait a wile for the 4500 to the right guy or push it down below KBB because of the economy and what is available. I just sold two bikes within 14 to 16 hours after I posted them because I don't believe in KBB value on bikes and I like people to get a good deal as I did.
Now, on the 230, I have the 06 with USD forks but I put the Works on the rear and got an extra inch of travel. Fun little play bike but gutless. Tell the boy to keep his hands off it or kick his azz.

If you think the CRF230 is gutless after camming it up , you should visit this Youtube video HOLESHOT on my CRF230F at Argyll MX

My son did a test on our CRF230F with his race buddy. He test Hlebo and Works shock. He also did a test on the XR250 forks vs. the CRF150R he post on our title name; The Goat. You should look it up.

I would put it in the classifieds at the good Husqvarna website/forum.
