Excellent...it must be nice to have a daughter to ride with.  The spiked tires came off my WR250f yesterday...it was 72 degrees on the Seacoast!!!!  Getting out of work in 45 minutes and gonna do some fiqures eights in the backyard. I have been on the KLX 140 for the winter so I hope I can get back into the swing with my BIG bike.

Looks like some fun right there!   Wish we had a little more rain down this way, so we could have a bit of mud to ride in, instead of all this dust.

I'm sure it would be lots of fun!  I lived in Washington for most of a year back in1990.  Did plenty of muddy, sloppy trail riding up there.

It was a lot of fun to ride through the mud.  But I liked navigating through the trees and trying out the newest trails my hubby added to the loop.  He says there is 1.5 miles of trails now on the loop at our in-laws!

Yes it is, and we have 2 daughters, and both ride!
Although, our oldest has to have "ideal" weather & riding conditions for her to be motivated to ride.

I can't wait to bring out the xr50 and let our youngest son learn to ride and join the fun!!  It's gonna be a great riding season for us this year!!

Whoohoo!  We got to ride for the 2nd Sunday in a row now.  Was invited back to our friends' who own the 60 acres of private land with 8 miles of trails.  I am extremely proud of our 11 yr. old daughter - after being my riding buddy for the day and riding for hours, she followed Dad around the hard trails and made it through everything, only tipping over 3 times.  They are tough trails, on hillsides in tight trees, with many switchbacks, had to go over a few logs, through mud & the creek too.  She got many high five's from the guys...and I was one VERY proud Mama!!  Not to mention the permanent grin that adorned her face the rest of the night!!

And, my daughter and I got to lead another rider (a guy) around the main trails and a few of the side ones that I ride, since it was his first time at their place and didn't quite have the tires needed to ride the advanced trails.  So that was fun!!

So excited, we met up with an old childhood friend of my hubby's last weekend on our way home from our day of riding.  And low & behold, his parents own the land across from our in-laws, that has a corn field and about 40 acres of woods with many enduro trails that were built several years ago.  And we were invited to ride there and come check out the trails.  The trails were overgrown and many large trees down, so got to ride in the corn field!  Going back this Sunday with some manpower & chainsaws to make way for riding fun!

Hubby coming back from exploring the condition of the trails...up and over one of the many logs...

Me learning cornfields 101 - stay away from "sandy looking soil" - lol.

I got stuck back there and managed to get myself out, but only to end up here....but it's the fun that counts - right!!!

So the kids are on spring break; took two of the kids with me riding on the public trails for the day.  Rode 40+ miles, great day!  It's a different type of riding than we usually ride through the tight woods..so we got to go faster non-stop for a long ways.  Here's some highlights from our ride...

My daughter didn't pay attention that we were stopping, and skidded and tipped over.  She's giving me a look of "thanks Mom" beneathe that helmet.

Oh I should mention, we were the only dirt bikes on the trail, everyone else we saw was on quads...what's up with that???

And apparently a Mom and her two kids riding is a spectacle?  Cuz everyone would stop and stare.. .especially when we stopped into the local bar & grill for food. The fellas that were leaving all congregated around our bikes in the parking lot.  I didn't think to snap a pic to post up here...

Has the riding season started yet for any other ladies?  Any updates/pics of any rides yet???

I'll be riding again on Easter Sunday, and this time trying my bike with some spring tension back on the rear spring.  Been riding this whole time I've owned my bike with the spring backed off completely as a temporary fix to lower it.  But having built up my skill and my strength (can practically pick up my bike with one arm if I tip over now), I decided that I don't need to flat foot the bike anymore to feel comfortable to ride.  And, I am tired of the back end of the bike being "dead" feeling, curious to see how my bike handles now.  Can't wait til Sunday to find out!!

Oh goodness, the trails across from my in-laws' place are super fun!  I finally got to try them out, with my stuffy nose and all - nothing was gonna stop me.  Hubby raised up my bike a bit, quite a bit different on how it handles - way better especially up and over logs - but took a bit to get used to.  Here's some video clips -

My 1st attempt at one of the hills...

And my daughter taking me around the trail for the first time....ran out of space on the memory card for the entire loop around....

Did a few things to the bike last week, just for a change took the side panels off and put the stock purple ones on.  Hubby found a headlight for my bike off Ebay and got that on my bike now too.  Kinda nice to have a headlight for riding in the woods.  Sooooo, of course had to go ride.  Loaded up the bikes, picked up the kids early from school yesterday and met up with the hubby out at the trails.  Overall, had a good night riding with the fam.  Looks like thunderstorms for the rest of the weekend...so not sure if we'll get any more riding in this weekend.  Bummer.
