Hey , am having a problem with my bike and just looking for a few ideas. I was out on it at the weekend and it stopped with no warming and wouldn't fire up again. It's getting a spark and I've cleaned the jet at the bottom of the carb. Ive also checked breather pipes and switches.  The bike turns over with no strange noises and seems to have the same compression when using the kick start. Am just looking for things to check before i lift the head. :-)

Check the valve clearances first. generally, starts get a bit tougher leading up to a zero-out...but not always. Don't do anything drastic until you get some feeler gauages in there.

Got it sorted. A friend came round to have a look and we checked the pilot jet and it must of been blocked. I had just checked the main jet. :-)
