Can anyone who owns one or has owned one give me their opinions on the bike please?
I would use it mostly for trails with a yearly trip to the track.
Any advise would be great..
Also lets see your 05 250f.

The 250f is all stock very clean looking and has had the valves and everything checked out.
Don't know about a rebuild though.
Here is the description of the bike by owner....
2005 Kawasaki kx250f. It is pretty much all stock and is always kept to stock specifications, except the suspension was set for a 135lb rider, but can be adjusted very easily. It does have an asv brake lever and graphics to cover all the plastics. I recently got custom number plate graphics to protect the plastics. It is a very able bike and has a very strong motor, which most Kawasaki four strokes are known for. It is garage kept and always meticulously maintained. It just had a fresh oil filter, air filter, and top grade castrol synthetic race oil put in it, I still have about a bottle left which I will gladly give you. All of that is completely fresh with no rides on it, and the air filter is well oiled. I have never crashed it, or it has never been in any bad accidents, I have only laid it over in a soft sand corner once at three palms as I'm not that experienced with big bikes. It has never been raced, I've only took it out to practice about 3 or 4 times. It has had around 6 hours of ride time since the whole engine and valves have been checked and adjusted. The tires have plenty of tread left on them. I am looking for a 125 because I am a smaller rider and need something just a bit lighter and I'm more familiar with 2 strokes.
And here is the pic...

Is this a good choice for a woods bike?

He said it had been rebiult by our local Kawi dealer and has since had 6 hours put on it.
He said he had it in there this spring and had everything check out since he had not ran it for the winter.
He purchased it to race it but he claims that being 135 pounds ..he is having a hard time with the bikes weight.
Hence it not being raced yet.
He raced last year on a 85
I Cannot comment on the previous owner.
My concern is i know of the dealer but have never delt with them enough to take their word on the bikes condition.

This is exactly why im being cautious.
The current owner has not rebiult anything.
The previous owner had it rebiult at the same dealer.
Right now my yz can sit for a month all i gotta do is start it up and go.
I do keep up extremely on maintence but i dont have an extra 1000 sitting around to rebiuld a 4t.

I disagree with this my 250f is far more fun in the woods than the 125. A ton more bottom end with way more top end than a 125. Its all riding preference i guess. As i said before just cruzing in first gear is enough air flow to keep the 05 from overheating, given the cooling system is in tip top shape. A high pressure cap also helps and isn't that expensive. Aside from that they are expensive to rebuild and if the funds aren't available then that's a valid reason to stay away from any 4t.

Don't ever remember overheating it, however I do ride MX and not trails. Plus I use Engine Ice coolant.
If it does need a new top end; Motosport has a Wiseco piston kit for $210, Dave from MX Time will cut your valve seats and put in new SS valves for $425.
Oh and don't forget to get a new cam chain ($40) regardless, I'm willing to bet it hasn't been replaced.
BTW how much is your YZ worth/is he asking for the 05?
My 05
