so what is the bike up on the stand in the background ?  looks like a mid-80's Honda Interceptor ?

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, the bike up on the lift is an '83 VF750F. I love my Interceptors, have a few of them.

I've been super busy and am just now, after 6 months, getting into this 400 and getting it ready for riding.

Here are a few pics.

First I had to pull the BD harness and rebuild pretty much the whole damn thing. Lots of broken wires, connector was junk, etc. Got that done.

Needed a quick taillight solution so I grabbed a CBR600 front turn signal from a pile and painted the lens red.

Made this bracket to hold the light, and the rear signals

Here it is done

And on the bike

Here you can see it with the fender installed, license plate should keep most crud off the lights. You can see the new aluminum handguards and new footpegs there too.

I recently needed to spend an extra few bucks to get free shipping from Motorcycle Superstore, so I bought a set of Polisport hand guards on closeout for $5. Regularly over $20, iirc. Naturally they didn't have the color I wanted (white), so when they got here I painted over the silver with PlastiDip to make them satin black.

Pics to follow, I plan to simply bolt them to the existing holes on the Tusk aluminum guards.

Wiring is just about done, waiting for a new switch.
