Hey folks,

I live up in Canada where Honda loves to gouge us with a nice markup, so I'm looking to get a Honda generator delivered to my shipping outlet in Montana next time I head down. Looking to get the EU2000i (though I'm not against the Yamaha variant if the price is right).

Anybody know of the "best going price" for them? Online orders preferred but if you know of a place with good deals that will ship then I'll take that info too.

Thanks in advanced,

BT

Quick google shopping search shows about $860 USD to be the best deal.

Well, perfect, I bought mine from Montana. Go to http://www.bigskypower.com I got the EU2000i shipped to me for $899. That was a few years back and the dollar has gotten much weaker thanks to obumbles&%$#@!. Another place called http://www.wisesales.com had them for $850. Hondas does not allow them to show prices on the net anymore. So you may have to add it to a shopping cart etc to see the price or call for prices.

I also bought the EU6500is from them, retails for $3995, bought it for $3125 shipped to my door. That gennie is just as quiet as the EU2000i

Big Sky Power Equipment is in Great Falls Mt.

They have the new EU2000i companion. You lose the 12V charger portion which I never used, and gain in amperage in the 110VAC plug with a RV style plug.

Looks like $899 for regular or $999 for the companion, definitely a better price than what we're getting here in Canada ($1300 is the sale price for the regular). We can't even buy the companion here. Thanks for the links.

Finest generators on the planet. And I'm ultra picky on everything. Honda makes some of the best power equipment out there.

Here's the real one. It costs the same as the Honda.

Honda is quality for sure. Yamaha weighs less, cost's less and is quieter.

Does Yamaha make a 2000? I could only find a 1000 and a 3000.

I have used my Yamaha for 6 years with zero issues, just changing the oil and cleaning the air filter once a year. I just replaced the spark plug for fun.

Yes!  I have one, it's great.  It actually cost like $50 more than the Honda when I bought it about a year ago.  They claim it will get 10.5 hours run time on 1.1 gallon tank, I actually get MORE!  Granted, charging RV battery and keeping topped off all night in the winter so the heat stays on isn't too much of a load.

It wasn't out at the time, but this looks to be the perfect size:
