I just picked up a 03 yz250, I'm looking to get back into riding and maybe racing. I used to race c class and on occasion b class. However, that was 7 years ago when I lived back east.

Anyway, I have talked to a friend of mine who used to ride here, he told me to check out grinding stone, after some quick research I found that is closed. He also told me that speedworld might not be the best place for me to get my feet back under me on a mx track, he said that is a very fast track. I have no hopes or dreams of ever racing in the a or even b class, I just want to go out and spin some laps and have some fun. I am near PV mall, i'm not really looking to drive 2 hours one way to a track. So, what are my options?

It appears that your "friend" may have given you some inaccurate/incomplete information regarding Speedworld.
Granted, the National Track at Speedworld is fast, but we also have the International Track & it is exactly what you've described you're looking for.......................
