I don't know... but George moved more Huskys than that NEW KTM/HUSKY shop Husky NA set-up just 5 miles down the street from UpTite.

Not just that, but a few folks...  looking to purchase a NEW HUSKY at that NEW KTM/Husky shop which REPLACED GEORGE'S SHOP have ended up buying KTMs instead because that's what the new shop pushes.

Like I said... not the brightest bunch of folks they have working out there in Corona.

Why are you taking a swipe at the Husky HQ? You have no idea why this happened. Maybe there were financial issues, maybe George thought the 449 was so ugly and stupid he just didn't want to sell them anymore, maybe they tried to make him buy BMW's? And.............I find it highly suspect that you might know how many bikes he was selling compared to them. Could you please just quit making stuff up?

considering  that  the  new  shop has  had  the franchise  for only a  few months, it's  pretty  easy  to figure  out  who  sold  more husky's. i  visited  the  new  shop,   there  was  a  real effort to push  the  orange  brand.  wish it wasn't  true, but  it  is. go figure  when   the  new  management are  all ex  -  Ktm people, except andy  jefferson.   just  telling you how it  is.   i  had  no  husky  shirts on,  and no  stickers on my  van, they  didn't know  me  from adam.....

I know two other people who stopped in or called asking about street legal dirt bikes and apparently the guy doing the selling favored the KTMs over the Huskys and pretty told them they'd be happier on a KTM.

No there're a lot of other web forums out there that talk motorcycles and Husqvarna, some are local racing forums, some are adventure forums and others general motorcycle forums... haven't seen anything from anyone who bought from the other shop?

Better yet visit their website and see what they push... or if you'd like visit their Facebook page and see what they're about... they don't even have Husqvarna NA as one of their LIKES.

Yep... George might have been old school... but he was all about Husky.

I'm just saying that just because you haven't heard anything doesn't mean they haven't sold any.

And you'll get no argument from me about George's devotion.  None at all.  I'm not pleased that he's absent from the dealer list.

So George/Uptite is formally no longer a Husky dealer?  That sucks.  He was a hard core Husky guy who supported the brand through thick and thin.

He'll be missed.

No financial issues I can assure you that unless you are talking about HNA not paying for warranty work all ready done. The 449, 511? He loves that new design, not sure about the 630. No, Irve Sever (BMW) is up in Orange and they don't and won't sell Husqvarna.
If HNA likes the new KTM drop out team that they hired good for them. I refuse to drink cool aid. I road a buddies KTM because he wanted to try out the EFI on my Husky, I sure was happy after about 5 miles when I got my bike back. It was like riding on a tank although it was not set up for me I didn't like the feel, response and especially the color. Another thing that HNA is going to do if they haven't all ready is have China manufacture parts, might as well go by a Lifan.

George never did business on the web-site, although I think the guy that set it up was hoping to talk him into it.

After speaking with my new local husky dealer which is also a BMW dealer. He told me that Husqvarna is slowly weeded out the "Old Fashion" Husky dealers that are refusing to upgrade their dealerships with modern decor, given a higher level of customer services, providing new and fast parts & accessories ordering system, keeping new bikes on the floor and in inventory, and maintaining professional sales people. The previous husky dealer in my area was a well known husky dealer and had been around since the late 60's but was lacking in new bikes on the floor, latest parts & accessories on hand and marketing (i.e. Website, demo rides, social network, sponsoring local events, and etc,) Today motorcycles dealer will have to be proactive with customers, and be willing to change with the industry or they will not survive and/or lose the franchise to a dealership that is willing to modernize itself and provide a high level of customer service. In regards to the previous Husqvarna dealer in my area they ultimately was more involved in Off Road truck racing then really promoting & selling Husqvarna. So to this day they are no longer sell Husqvarna. Currently they are a small Beta dealer! Oh yea Uptite is also listed as a Beta dealer!!!

i've got a little problem with the bolded part as the husky dealers, like george and a few in the northwest that i've dealt with, seem to be one of the main reasons husky has been able to resurge as a viable brand. the typical stealership flunky crap is what drove a lot of people from the big 4 into the euro bikes. because the only people selling them were people that were passionate about the brand and heritage.

as far as parts ordering technology goes. i'll give 2 flips about improving that about the time they give a flip about me being able to order a part in the second week of august and get it before september.

driving george away sounds like a retard move to me. RETARDS!!!
