CDI and Yamalink from 2009 on 2003?

Wondering if any one knows if a 2009 CDI will work in my 2003? How about a 2009 Yamalink. This is used for lowering the front suspension. Cant tell by looking on manufactures page if the diffent yars are interchangable.

Yes, the '09 CDI should work on the '03. You won't see any performance gain though. You will probably see a drop in performance from the different timing map.

Do you mean lowering the rear suspension? I'm not aware of any 'link' in the front suspension, unless someone put a front end from a 1972 DKW on your bike.

Was going to email you in reply to the message left, but since we're all here.... the 09 YamaLink will not fit the 03.

If you want to lower your bike, the easiest and cheapest way is to use spacers in the damper cartridge in the fork and shock and run a shortened set of fork springs. This will lower both ends and cost about half of what a link will cost.

Thanks for the input , and yes the link was to lower the rear. I will definately look in to your plan with the cardtridges. Thanks
