Once you softened the front up was it noticeably plusher? Also did this make the rear feel too stiff?

Saw one being delivered at Clinton County Motorsports near Cincinnati, Ohio this past weekend. Suppose to be another 200 delivered to dealers by June 1 also.....

However, the absolute and total nightmare of pulling off the stock exhaust leaves me wanting to beat the POS who designed the OEM exhaust ...
But, the power is much better although a lot louder...

Does the mega bomb header stick out enough to burn your boots? I remember that FMF mega header on my 350XCF touching my boots sometimes. Post some pics of the new system.

Shock area is questionable ... but havent noticed anything YET .... otherwise all looks good.
KTM engineers should be shot for their header design.

450FE has way more power and response feeling pretty much everywhere....also more inertia and compression braking compared to the 350. The 450FE is agile and so easy to ride with smooth power....no need to rev it out so much - just effortless accelleration. I really like the light pull clutch on the 450FE also. Both are fun bikes. Just have to realize the character of each bike....you have to rev out the 350 a lot to run with the 450's but it "feels" a little lighter. The 450FE revs very quickly yet pulls smoothly and hooks up all while feeling pretty light too...I wonder how much better the 2013 350's will feel with the head mods and new EFI throttle body...

Here's what I've done:
1. FMF 4.1 Ti ... Akropovich is WAY too much money ... $670 vs. $1200 at the prices I get ...
2. Mapping ... I played with the mapping and made my own aggressive map ... posted here : http://steve841.dlinkddns.com made it peppier .... nothing drastic.
3. Added one more tooth to rear ...
With this combo ...its a much happier ride. Stock has good low to a great mid .. .then flat. This combo (especially the pipe made it all come around with decent pull in to top end.)

Yes the Akrapovic is expensive, just wondering the output of that exhaust on the bike. I will more than likely go with the FMF as I have the same set up on my 2010 and it works great. The extra tooth is a must if not 2, but I hear it makes it go through the gears quicker...Thanks for your link to the mapping, I have to figure out how to open it on my Mac now.

Any chance you can tell me where you ordered the FMF pipe? Trying to find the best deal...Thanks

Don't think that's a public deal....
