i have a chevy pick up with a 4.8   it now has almost 240,000 miles and still doesnt burn a drop of oil

regular maintenance and not over loading and it been bullit proof

Well in a way I would have gotten your van since it was all ready set up but I just didn't have that much to spend on a van at that time.   I was lucky to have found this one so close to me and I had to lay down $1000.00 to him so he would let me make the first deal with him over 4 other people and one of them a was a fleet owner of some company that just about snatched it from me.

I figured if he was that interested of getting it it must have been a good one.

The holes in the doors are from larger mirrors that were mounted.  Even the back door had a mirro so you could seen behind will backing up.  Just my $.02.

Plenty of ribbage there to screw to. You need to cut the plywood so it goes around the wheel well and gas fill tube. Then box in the wheel wells.

I just stopped wasting my time and just started hanging up wire baskets for shelfs to hold chain lube,carb spray, oil ect.....

I took a shower rod and put it through the holes in the rib at the top of the van. I use the shower rod to hang my riding cloths,chest protectors and knee braces.  I took J-Hooks and screwed them in the side of the double doors so I could hang my helmets on them and Leatt Braces.

Ill take some pics of the van tomorrow to show what I done.

Here is the setup I have so far.......Its not the best looking but does what I want it to do and serves the purpose.

The tank in the back is a 35 gallon tank that has molded in legs......seems to fit well and not take up much space. I will just leave it empty and fill at the track since i dont know how it will ride when full.
It may sit fine and not move when full of water but dont want to take the risk of it turning over or sliding around until I can test ride it first.


I have my riding gear hanging on a rack that I took out of my trailer. It is just a couple of plastic hooks that I drilled two holes through and then screwed to the rib in the van. Then a long rod clicks into the hooks and the gear is hung with cloths hangers. Works and rides well when going down the road.



Here in this pic I just show how the bike sits in the van when it is parked. I have a lift stand under the bike so the bike is off the floor when sitting so the forks and suspension aren't compressed. When I had my 6x12 trailer I hauled the bike on top of a regular stand  with a D-ring on each side of the stand. I took a Tie-down strap and put it on each foot-peg and then to each ring. This way the bike was off the floor when hauling it and the suspension/Forks were off the floor and not compressed any. Also the front tire was in a chock to kep the bike from moving forward.
If I do this method in the van I will have to mount a wheel chock and get a different lift stand that has a locking mechanism that you can engage so that the lift will not accidentally fall down.
A regular stand would be better but would be harder to get the bike up on it since there isn't enough standing room to lift the bike up on it.
  


In this pic you can see I have the Tie-down straps attached/hooked at the top rib of the van on each side. It is more of a tie up system than a tie down system. I aslo have a strap attached to each foot-peg and then at each side of the rear of the van at the top. This method works well and keeps the bike standing up and not rolling back and forth when hauling but the bike is on the floor and not on a stand like it was when I hauled it in my 6x12 enclosed trailer. I'm wanting to change this part but will need a different lift stand and may need to put in a Ply-wood floor so I can mount detachable Tie down rings and put a wheel chock in.

If I put a floor in my van along with mounting on the S-Track with the S-ring tie-down rings and a detachable wheel chock I could be able to haul the bike like I did in my Trailer. But I would need to get another lift stand cause the one I have wouldn't work due to the locking mechanism that is on it. Once the bike is lifted up it will stay up but if the stand is bumped somewhat the mechanism will move and the lift will fall causing the bike to land on the floor.

I think this stand would work better since it has a locking pin for the mechanism that holds the lift up and in place in case of an accidental bump.  http://www.redlinest...-with-gas-shock
