2011 kawasaki versys 650 3rd gear noise

I have 2,100 miles on it. now in 3rd gear I hear a whine noise while cruising and slight accell. no noise in any other gears. has any had this noise?

I have a 2008 with close to 18000 and no noise from the tranny .Did you  check  over on the versys forum?
