IF there even was a 5 year old still new 2 stroke bike around at a dealer.......there would be a reason no one has bought it yet.

why does it have to be 2007? nobody developed their two stroke after 2006, except for ktm.

you could always develop a time transportation device, then use it t otravel back to 2007, and then purchase a 250 2stroke

If they are talking 6K for a bike that old (even if it is "unused"), they're nuts.  Just go down to you KTM or Gas Gas dealer and get a smoker that is not stuck in time.  It won't be much more than 6K.

That's probably why they still have it! :bonk:

If you're stuck on an '07, just get a low hour one used, or even a beater for cheap and fix it up yourself.

If you want a YZ you could; buy a used 2007 and strip it to the bare frame, then buy a new 2012 and do the same, swap all the brand new parts to the stripped 2007 frame and you would be as close as you can get to a new 2007.

If you want a KX,CR,RM....good luck with that, although I am sure there are some out there.

you want an 07 because your cousin has an 07? What is the reasoning behind that?

They do exist. Just check out CamP's thread he just bought a new 2007 CR250 that was RIGHT HERE in MY FREAKING CITY of Memphis, TN for 3gs. Freaking steal that makes me sick. It's a badass bike, but they're not common by any means dude. By a slightly used 07 and be happy.

it would be very hard to do, why not buy used and get it to look new? Plastics graphics engine etc. You got 6000 to spend? you could probably find a bike for 2500 to 3000 and all the rest of that money put into mods

just get any 250 2 stroke with an aluminum frame (the only real difference in the 250 2 strokes from the 2000's) and put the rest of your money into making it look like a 2012 4 stroke, suspension work, powder-coating parts, and new bearings and engine parts for it.  That is what I would do if I gave a crap about what my frame was made out of and I had the money to buy a nicer bike

crs, rms, and kxs are really hard to find. my buddy had his heart set on when and when he finally found it, it was a beater 05 kx 250 and he payed way too much for it (2300). now it's all fixed up and nice but you really have to love those bikes in order to find one and pay even close to the asking price

Hell I just bought my old 98 cr250 back and it was in rough shape, $450 later I've rebuilt it completely mechanically and cosmetically, doing all labor myself of course. That's a huge factor, but I replaced anything and everything that mattered and I essentially have a *new* bike from 1998. Love it.

You shouldn't get so hung up on buying a "New" 2 stroke. It's not that big of a deal. If you have any mechanical skill and take care of your machine, you can have a new bike. My 1998 is in better shape than most newer bikes I come across at the track. Year and how recently it was manufactured, really doesn't play that big a role, unless you're the type that rides it hard and puts it up wet. The frame and chassis is still good as new. It's motor, bearings, suspension, cables, everything else that REALLY matters....

Found this on this web site under the classifieds section. not sure where you are located. I am not selling it. I just read your post and figured I would pass along the word. Got to keep the 2 strokes alive.

http://www.bikefinds...-cr250-for-sale

5 pages of CR250's for sale across the country.  Sort by state, year, price, whatever.  Not sure if there are any dealers selling new ones...but give you a lot of used ones...some are low hours.
