I would like to get a front disc guard before going to ride some difficult and rocky trails at the end of the month. Any suggestions?

Are you wanting plastic ones? If so, most popular aftermarket plastic manu. produce them . Keep in mind that these are not going to be much protection against good size rocks.

So are ya'll saying I should look at the aluminum ones instead of plastic or carbon fiber? If so where to get the Devol at a good price?

That looks like a nice one. How much did you pay for it? I may try and get one of those.

If you don't mind shelling out the money, Topar Racing makes a really nice one for ~$125. It is similar to the Scotts rear shark fin, but designed for the front disc. I bought it because I felt the carbon fiber and the aluminum Devol guards would not take a good direct hit. It is not the lightest thing available, it weighs almost a pound and is made of 3/8" thick aluminum.
