Honda CT 125 won't rev up

I have a 77 Ct 125 that starts up and idles . I have been through the whole carb and its all clean , could the coil be doing this ?

Check the advance mechanism behind the points plate and make sure it is engaged to the the dowel pin on the end of the camshaft, also make sure it is moving freely and has no broken springs.

In the carb deparment, nake sure the throttle cable is moving the slide up and down
