Rebuilding my 03, YZ 450 F. The Yamaha manual just says Locktite but not the type ( Locktite Number, ex. Blue # 242, Removable ). This is for the crank bearing retainer bolts on the inside of the cases that hold the bearing in place. this is also for all the inside case retainer bolts that hold any and all of the bearing on the inside of the cases. Do not want to have to do it again if one comes loose. Also doing my 06 YZ250F, would it apply to both?

I have a blue #242, Locktite. I am guessing that is the only blue Locktite makes and correct one to use.

That will work just fine.

Blue isn't strong enough, and isn't what's used at the factory. Use the RED (#271, item #27100).

Loctite 271 or Permatex "Red" l#27140

Your looking for a high strength thread locker, not medium strength.
