Hi guys, got around to doing Dave's mods and everything good so far except I can't get the little yellow widget back on top of the needle in the slide after I added the washer to raise the needle. It fits back just fine when I remove the washer. Has this happened to anyone else? I used the Dubro SS#4 washers recommended on these forums. Unfortunately I already drilled the holes in the slide to 5/32 so no going back now. What would happen if I finished the mods without adding the washer?

Well I just went through the garage trying washers until one worked. I wish I knew it was the correct width, but everything should be fine. Can't wait to finish up, then have to wait for weather nice enough to try it out.
