We drove 650 miles to pick up a brand new '07 CR250 today. It's covered in the factory cosmoline and dust, but it was worth the 10 hour road trip! I'm jonesing to ride it but I need to install stiffer springs first. I have a set of new stock CRF450 springs that should be perfect, so tomorrow will be a day of wrenching in the garage. I'm super pumped!

I used www.searchtempest.com to search craigslist nationally. It showed up on the memphis craigslist. I contacted the owner, we made a deal and met in Little Rock today.

It's brand new? Must be an interesting story. How did it end up sitting around so long?

Simple, they bought it to stare at and for a collectors item, the guy probably never bought it with intentions to ride it. After I got mine a short time ago, I have seen at least 3 that were never even started and I missed them all, but still always looking for more.

The guy probably realized he needed money more than something he was never going to ride and let it go. He must not have been a true fan.

That's pretty much it. He wanted to get it out of the garage to make way for a new boat.

I have a PC cylinder on my '05 which is identical to your '07. PC does NOT machine the cylinder base like many other tuners do, and they do NOT add epoxy to the transfer tunnels. In fact, they leave the transfers very much intact and concentrate on the boost port inlet, boost port tunnel, boost port height and discharge angle, and a large amount of work on the exhaust port and exhaust flange.
I have a PC head, and also sent a seperate head to RB for work. I prefer the RB head for overall performance, throttle response, and jetting stability.
PWK AirStriker from an '06 RM250 with TPS connected, and powerjet circuit blocked.
Boyesen Pro Series carbon reeds in the stock block.
