Does anyone know of an alternative fuel filter that can be used on the tubing from the petcock, mine snapped and I don't want to spend $40-$50 on that piece of plastic.

I don't mean to be a silly b...r but bikes have run forever without inline fuel filters.
Remove it or put any other small filter in the line if you feel the need.
I have 5 motorcycles., Not one runs an inline fuel filter.Course you are going to need to replace the line..$5.00.

Carquest has an inline very small [1 inch long] clear filter for small engines I've had one on my xt550 for years I agree with running it there are alot of parts in those carbs so I run Seafoam and the extra filter so I've not had the pleasure of taking my carb apart for 8 years [fine by me]
