I just picked up a TTR125L for my GF that had a stuck piston and stuck float on the carb. IT runs but like crap. Smokes and is leaking tons of fuel out the carb.

I think I am just going to order up a big bore kit and replace the carb. What carbs and jet sizes are people running with the big bore kit? I know bbr has one but I think that kind of spendy when you can pick up a xr200 carb for cheap on ebay or a VM26 for less then 100. Any other worth while mods I should look into? She has ridding a experience. and will always want more power.

you will be hard pressed to beat the vm26 for the price
if you get it from sudco, they can custom jet it for you to accomodate the big bore kit

also, if you happen to be in Cali, they are looking for TTR 125's to fit performance carbs on.. you let them use your bike for testing for a couple days and you get a free carb kit in exchange.. wish I was in cali!

the problem is that ebay is filled with chinese knock offs.. spend the extra $10 for the piece of mind buying from a reputible dealer gives you

their part number is 001-021 (mikuni VM26-606), sudco's price is $89. I dont know the jetting for the big bore kit, but when you call to order you tell them what mods you have done and they will recomend the jetting - its what they do

I have a BBR 150 kit on my TTR with a YZ80 carb, I don't remember the jets that I had to use, but it works well.
