hopefully on suzuki's next overhaul the ergonomics and handling characteristics dont go to shit. That was the main selling point for me. motor had nothing to do with it, you can alter a motor, you can put on parts to make it lighter, but you can't change the frame to make it handle naturally like they already do. does that even make sense?

I hope the handling doesn't change also. It would be nice to have software available from suzuki.the aftermarket programmers are ok,but the setup yamaha and kawi have are really nice.i raced my ktm this past week because i didnt want to beat up my rmz.it was a rocky race. I missed my rmz the entire time.it just works so good.i was a die hard 2 stroke guy.the rmz450 is the closest i have found that has best traits of each bike.handles like a 2t and has the smoth 4t motor and planted feel.i thought about getting an rmz250 but ims doesnt make an oversized tank.

I have thought about a 250 RMZ BB...

Agree with all your points, BTW.

After KTM came out with the electric start for their bikes, I have been hoping Suzuki would follow suit, but not yet.  Drats.   My '06 is in need of an upgrade, and at 50+ :applause: my body doesn't get its jollies from kick starting the bike :banghead:.

Find an RMX450z. I really don't want e-start. Kickstarter is a pain in the butt for 2 seconds, but its as simple and reliable as an anvil. This is the easiest starting 4 stroke I ever owned. It usually starts first kick and no more than 2. If you really want e-start on an rmz-I am sure you could use parts from the RMX to make it work.At least for the EFI bikes (08-12)

I have found the e-start to be highly overrated. When I had an e-start bike, I had problems over time that made starting the bike a real issue. With my RMZ, 2 kicks every time. It's also really easy and better to always start your bike on the stand. The kick-lever is too long I think and makes it a challenge when sitting on the bike. 2 kicks every time on the stand. Always!

if the rmz got an e-start, i would choose another brand. i´ve seen too many KTM owners stuck........ and weight is also an issue with the e-start.

i would like to see:

shave some weight, 5 pounds or so.
DLC coating the forks/shock.
and put in a window, so i can see my oil level, instead of that ridiculous screw.
