Found this today i bought the bike about 5 months ago toke it for 2 rides about 4 hours total never crashed it think it might have been there when i bought it..
anyways its a 2002 Yz 125 and the second ride i was on it stalled on me and wouldn't kick over and then the kick start wouldn't even go back properly and stayed down a few times. then today i noticed this crack on right near the kick start leaking stuff all over.
and I'm wondering what i have to do now to fix it, is it a cracked engine block?.
still new to moto
Thanks!

It's cracked and needs replaced, but It's not the case. That is just the side cover. They are on Ebay for less than $50.

Repeat, sidecovers are not that difficult or that expensive to replace. Get yourself riding as quickly and cheaply as possible by simply replacing the cover. They're probably $50 on Ebay and you could have one in a few days for under $200 if you simply buy a new one off Service Honda.

Right side cover is the one you want. Don't forget you'll need a few extra pieces including water pump seals, water pump gasket, kick start shaft seal, and the right side cover gasket.

You had better get that cover off and see what else might be wrong besides what you can see from the outside. It may be nothing but, you won't know until the cover is off. Based on your first post, I would be concerned. Hopefully, you have a manual. If not, even an exploded (not pun intended) view from an online store like Thumpertalk may help you see what goes where when you finally get in there. You're gonna need a gasket too.

That crack in the side cover has nothing to do with the bike either stalling or not starting, but whatever caused the crack might. Something inside the right side cover may have broken off and bound up. This could be related to why your kick starter gets stuck. I would not ride it or continue to try to start it as is. If you want to fix it yourself get the service manual (commonly available as free download), then pull the right side cover and see what you find in there.
