How do parapelegics ride?

So how do they ride, the ones that are paralyzed from the waist down, how do they shift, use the rear brake?? Stopping would seem critical as well...

I was amazed the other day riding with a para palegic.he was tossing a yfz 45o wheeler .He had a custum seat,a strap acrross his lap lap, his feet were strapped to the foot boards via a snowboard boots,air shfitersect,ect.This guy was riding his bike .Big thumbs up to these guys.
