On my DS the stock front turn signals are also running lights too, its a nice dim running light that is always on, but when you operate the signal, the dual filament bulb is much brighter and does its flashing thing, while the dim running light is still on, i really like this feature, as those dim running lights are actually pretty noticeable at night, and give pretty good light.

this is what im talking about, they are always on

The rear turn signals, do not have this feature, they only work as the turn signal function only, they are not dual filament bulbs, only 1 function.

Ive been doing some research, and the front turn signals are DUAL FILAMENT, 3 WIRE units, where the back ones are 2 wires ( ground, and flasher feature), while the 3 WIRE is ( ground, running lights, flasher),

so i saw these, which are a 3 WIRE front signals ( kinda hard to find, as 99 percent of them on ebay and stuff are only 2 wires)

my question is this, if i take off my rear stockers, then install these on the rear, hook up the ground, hook up the flasher wire with the 2 stock wires that come on the bike, THEN, hook up the 3rd RUNNING LIGHT wire to the running light wire of the REAR BRAKE LIGHT, will that be ok?
