Ive aquired an 07 crf150r and it appears that its falling into the bad vin numbers , I don't know if the cam was replaced by previous owner and can't contact him, whats the best way to find out? can i call honda support will they have records if i give them the vin? Or if i pop the cover off is there a way i can tell by looking? do the new or old oem cams have any numbers or markings so i can identify it? thanks
i realize the recall is over and Im not looking to have honda pay ,just need to know if its been done.

I was considering buying a bike that hadn't had the recall done. The individual had the paperwork though. I called the dealer and they said I would have no problem getting the work done as long as I had the paperwork. And the recall was 5 years ago. I'm sure they write the VIN# down after the work is done. I would try calling your local dealer and giving them your VIN and see what they come up with...

I called honda support , today they had record that the previuos owner did update the cam , and they informed me that there was a swingarm recall that had not been performed ,and they would cover that . so they do keep records there .
