Chain of events!

Chain came off and cracked the case, was able to continue and wasnt leaking too bad,

went through creek and was dropped in to creek. Switched the motor off instantly, Later after empting air box, wringing out air filter and draining carb started and was ridden almost back home and the rear wheel locked up pulled in cluch and continued to roll ( thankfully down hill )

Brought home washed, drained oil + replaced filter, re filled oil ( case still not fixed) completely cleaned carb and put back together and will not start!!! Checked spark and its all good! Why wont it start?????

Mate of mine suggested that there may be no compression and thats why it wont start? However before it locked up started and ran perfectly.

It turns over with both kick and electric start. but will not start can heap popping ( fuel build up?) But will not start.

Suggestions ??

Why did the rear wheel lock-up?
Was it because the engine locked-up?

To be honest ive got no idea why it locked up. If the engine did lock up why can it still be turned over ?

Well, if the engine locked-up on you, I'd be willing to bet that it needs to come apart for repairs, even if it somehow became unlocked after it locked-up.
Locked-up = seizure, which is usually a no-no for a healthy engine.

I wonder if it has anything to do with oil leaking out of the cracked engine case, or from some kind of damage due to the chain whacking against it.

When you submerged the bike, water was most likely sucked into the motor. Water causes the oil to migrate away from bearing and cylinder surfaces, causing a lock up as you experienced. If it was a cylinder lock-up then you won't have compression because the rings will be stuck in the piston grooves. If it was a cam cap or other bearing lock-up, this may have caused valve timing to move. Either way, it's going to be a strip & rebuild i'm afraid.

Thought that i might have to be a strip down and rebuild job . Needs a case anyway .
