Tennessee 2 day in June

For those of you who have not ridden the TN2day in Winchester TN, it is a fantastic ride on a fantastic piece of property. Like Cedartown is to Highland park, Winchester is to the TN2day. Winchester is a small town about 10 minutes away with little cheap hotels and places to eat. There also is camping at the site of the ride. While it may not have the scenery of Colorado the single track is fantastic and it has a wide variety of terrain. The dirt has been described as “so good I wanna drag my meat through it”.

First the bad news. The Tennessee 2 day will not be held this year. In its place they will be holding a one day, 25mile poker run at the same location on the first weekend in June. Booooooo

Now for the better news. Tom Stotler (the guy that puts on these events) says we can come ride that piece of property. A minimum of 5 guys at $50 apiece for the 2 or 3 days. So basically we can make our own private TN2day for $25 dollars a day! We could even ride for 3 days for the same $50. There are 3 large marked loops and Tom will take us on the normal Tennessee two day loop which is a combination of all 3 loops. There are some blackout dates due to hunting season and events. Turkey season is over in mid May and there is the poker run first weekend in June. I’m thinking the 3rd weekend in June the 16th and 17th. At least 25 miles of the trails should be ridden in by the poker run earlier.

Any interest? Start throwing out thoughts, concerns or dates.

.....I'm going to Ocala!! :bonk:

Sounds pretty cool! Do you need a "tagged" bike? Is it more like a 1 diamond or a 5 diamond?

If the singletrack is good (Brown Mountain/Brushy Mountain/Highland Park 4-5 Diamond good...etc) I am in and can drag 2-5 others in.

No tag needed. All private land. I have ridden Brushy adn HP and I think this is better. Certainly bigger hills than HP. The TN2Day ride generally has a pretty high attrition rate.

Pete - Touce'

Kurt- If the 22,23 and 24 are better for most people thats cool too.

I have ridden the TN 2 day before. It's like Brushy Mt single track all day long. It's the best. Count me in and at least other. Any weekend in June should be good - it does get hot there.
