have you guys seen how dang many 350s there are on craigslist! you can get some really nice looking titled ones for 1000 and some without titles for around 400. fixer uppers are way lower. i am thinking about buying a titled 250 locally and would eventually like to buy a cheap 350 to swap engines in. what years or these bikes will swap over and does everything innerchange. seat tank wheels?
that 350 with the 6 speed sounds like it would be a great little bike for all kinds of stuff but i have never rode a 250 or a 350.
how do you guys like them? would it even compare to my 650?

I just started riding again after taking years off. I original picked up an old kawasaki f7 way too slow. I now have a 98 dr350. Seems to be a great bike can chug along a low speed and still run at 65 with no problem. Paid $1100 with 5500 on it. In my opnion great deal. I like the bike so far and you can find plenty of upgrades.

Pretty sure the 250 and 350 share the same frames. I recall reading that you can swap the topend, crank and the counterbalancer and make a 250 into a 350. Of course you'll have to change carbs and final gearing too but that should make an engine swap an easy fix.

Wish I could put a 350 engine in my wifes DR200se. That would be cool. She is short legged.
