You can't see pictures, or you can't post them?

Both seem to work for me. TT is an awesome site, especially the trials section... Speaking of trials, what does this have to do with it???

How are you trying to "load" a picture? Are you talking about uploading? As of TODAY, you cannot upload to the site. But, we've NEVER allowed uploads to the site in the last 12 years. However, we WILL soon have uploads turned on for all. We're setting up a CDN layer for anyone that cares about the details. So, stay tuned.

For now, there are two ways to show images, but both methods require that your photos be hosted such as on www.photobucket.com, www.tinypic.com or other photo hosting service. With URL for the picture, you can paste the link:

http://0.tqn.com/d/m...ialsMontesa.jpg

Inbed the image using the "image" button on the post editor:

Now the topic is about trials. :bonk: (moved from trials forum).

That's why I make the small bucks!

The ability to upload is on the site right now, but it's turned off as we test using a content delivery network. we recently set up.

It's working fine, but it's not free to host images on a site this large, so we have to make sure that we don't end up with a huge, unexpected bill at the end of the month. Like most, budget is tighter than a frogs arhs, so we have to be mindful for sure.

It's say in a week or two we'll have what we need to go into this with our eyes open. And, using a CDN has site speed gains too boot, something we're watching very carefully.

I noticed a difference in the way TT now handles URL links to videos. It now displays a frame of the video, but in one case on one thread.. my post #32 on this Thread: http://www.thumperta...gs/page__st__20 I posted 2 videos from the same You Tube Channel, same instructor, one example on and Enduro bike of a Bunny Hop and the other on a Trials Bike and for some reason, the Trials one always displayed the video frame while the Enduro version only shows the URL hot-link.

No matter how many times I tried to re-do it, it would not show a video frame. I did not go further like deleting the Trials one to see if the Enduro one would then display and I did not reverse them to see if the order had something to do with it..

Just curious and thought I'd mention it in case it is pointing to a BUG....

Please PM me the link you're trying to use. I'd be happy to have a looksee.

See this:
http://screencast.com/t/xsaGvr4c5

The links you can use are:

Direct link:
http://i180.photobuc...ssey11/Fiji.jpg

IMG Code
Posted Image

Here's email & IM
http://media.photobu...11/Fiji.jpg?o=2

Works, but the direct is better.

HTML code:
<a href="http://photobucket.com/images/fiji" target="_blank"><img src="http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x33/MHussey11/Fiji.jpg" border="0" alt="Fiji Pictures, Images and Photos"/></a>

We don't allow HTML b/c it's a security issue.

I too have gotten that message a lot since the new upgrade, when posting pics from other sites, never when using Photobucket.

The problem is because there is no image extension on that URL. (like .gif, .jpg, etc).

The system can't recognize that it's an image.I'm looking for a work around for it. But it might be limited to only posting a link because those types of URLs (like the link you posted) could actually be used to post dangerous code in the page.
