Need to get a new chain and sprocket combo for an XR100 I recently purchased. The bike came missing these items (along with a damaged back wheel, missing spokes, axle, etc.)

The engine is stock and will mostly be rode in hilly trails by a 120lb rider.

Regards, Ken

BTW, shoot me a message if you have any stock or performance parts for sale for this bike.

if your riding trails the stock sprockets are good. if you want to go fast at all, you want some higher gearing.

my only complaint about the xr100 gearing is the real big jump from 1st to 2nd.

Ok.. Good to know. Probably go with stock ratio if first is pretty low. It will be needed on slow twisty trails and the hills with a relatively new rider.

Thanks, Ken

first gear is WAYYYY low. id say 7mph is as fast as your going in first with it revved out lol.

XR80s & 100's are chain chuckers, I'd advise picking up a proper chain guide and going through the link and swingarm bushings.

You just have to think of the xr100 as a 4 speed bike and start in 2nd. 1st is only used on super steep hills. . FIrst gear is actually great for this, it will keep going and not stall. It will let you climb a tree.
