Hi, I bought this 2006 CRF250X a few weeks ago. I’m trying to understand the full function of all of the components of the bike and I found a support that missing a piece (I saw a picture in this forum where this support holds box with a few conducts, I assume it should be some type of emission device)
What I missing and how important is to have it back?
Any pictures and where it is connected?
Thanks

If its a california model, your missing the air/smog/emissions pump and related hoses. Its not a big deal as it does not affect performance if you have it on or not. The problem with not having it is some OHV Park Rangers will check to see if its there. If its not they may not let you ride. It all depends on where you ride and the ranger that checks your bike. Sometimes they just take my enterance fee and not even look at the bike. Other times i've hade them go over it with a fine tooth comb.

Well this only happen in California....I found a air pump in ebay, is that the correct one? I would like to go and don't have any problem there.
Usually I'm going with the family to Hungry Valley OHV (Gorman), but never went with this bike. Any experience/comments form there?
Thanks

The OEM # for the Air Suction valve is 18600-KSC-770. Ask the seller what part # he has.
Check out the parts store here. You can look up OEM parts for you bike. You will be able to look at a diagram that shows all the parts you need related to the valve. Ask the seller if he has all the hoses, hangers...and see if they can sell them to you as well. $25.00 is a good price as the dealer wants $100.00.

Do you have to put an after market smog plug kit in place afte removing this stuff? Or can you just pull it off? I'd llike to take mine off to shed some weight. I've added armor to my bike, so I'd ;like to make up for what I've added at the very least!

Guri, 04,05,06 250x's used 18600-ksc-771. 07's and later use the 18600-ksc-a11. All the other related parts are the same.
I say go for it. If it works, Great, if not, no big deal. After all, it dose not need to be funtional. All the rangers are looking for is if you have it on. They have no way to check if its working. Be sure you have all the tubes and assorted pipes too.

Go to the top of this page and open the parts store. Open the OEM parts window. put in your bike info, then select AIR SUCTION VALVE in the parts catagory. It will open a diagram and parts list of eveything you will need in relation to the pump.

Welcome to Cali. The 51st state. We are lucky they let us own bikes here. Lol. My whole air pump system in in a box in my garage. I only race So Cal desert and they don't check there. Good for resale though.
