Hey everybody new to the forum. Don't think I'm in the right section but this one seems the closest. I have a 06 trx450r kick start. Starts and runs and revs great until I test ride it and when I start to get on the gas it seems like it hits the rev limiter. Yet its no where close to the rev limiter. Any ideas? Thanx in advance.

Stator could be breaking down.

Whats your current jetting? Chances are that its to rich.

check all your wiring connections , if wire going to coil is a bit loose it will cause this issue , prob not jetting as am thinking you have been riding quad for a bit with no issues so jetting wont change unless u moved up a mountain .... hope this helps
