hope this isnt a repost. seems reasonably priced. I would buy it in a heartbeat if I could afford a new bike.

I'm surprised at the price. Its about the same as paying list price for a new yz 250.

I have one just like it that I bought from George @ MPS. This is mine. http://twostrokemoto...pic,2913.0.html

Yes. I'd do it again and George is a good guy.

Thats a nice looking machine. Definately rare!

For 10k though I would rather buy a older model and throw the 250f kit on it for 2k.

Nice bike. Got more info on it?

Where's the 10K coming from? Mine was $8500 with the Ohlins 360 and all the work done. The one on eBay is 8250.

Here is the information on the kit.....
http://www.vdlaarracing.com/

As for 10k, $8200 plus tax and because I live in BC Canada, I will pay 12% on that bike. Including any shipping fees etc etc. Im looking at 10k easily.

That makes sense and thanks for the link. Why do you have to pay 12%?

Its called a Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). Basically we pay a 7% federal tax and a 5% provincial tax(I might have those backwards though). They harmonized it to make it easy for everyone. Poor people started bitching because they had to pay additional taxes on things that werent originally taxed. Things like food and baby clothes. Business loved it because it made accounting easier. The harmonized sales tax was protested (door to door petition) and will be abolished in 2 years. Now our taxes will go up to 14% again! :bonk:

So may people are narrow minded and only see with blinders on!

I may be wrong but I think that 12% is less 14% in nearly any form of mathematics that exists. I'm waiting and hoping they make a change like that here some day but I am sure there will be people whining and missing the point.

That is a beautiful bike. I expected it to cost more. For me, I THINK I'm more tempted by the plastic kit even though the price is silly-expensive.

Yup. Its difficult for people to understand though. For a young mother having to pay a extra 5% on a few items looks like a lot of money out of their pocket, I think the annual estimate is about $350 a year extra. But like I said before, people live with blinders on, they dont see the bigger picture.

I thought about a plastic kit too but I didn't have a bike :bonk: I hadn't ridden in a couple years and wanted a bike and started tire kicking until I saw the YZ360AF. I went down and bought it on the spot. The fit and finish is pretty nice and surprisingly people that don't dig 2-strokes do not realize what I have. I have ridden YZ250's for over 20 years so the 360 was a shock to me. Yes, it has a lot of torque and it takes a little bit to get used to the throttle/clutch but I'm getting there. Luckily I have picked up a 99 YZ250 since then so I can bounce between the bikes when I want to do something a little different.

Are you talking about a flat tax?

It's called a harmonized sales tax. In my province we pay 15% on top of just about everything other than food at the grocery store and a few other exceptions. It sucks. It's a big tax and you really notice it especially on large purchases such as bikes and cars. This also applies to anything used as well. If I order a used part on Ebay there is a good chance I will get dinged on it coming over the border. My area where I live is among the most heavily taxed in the country as well as being the lowest wages and highest unemployment. Gas today for 91 octane was $1.40 a litre, or $5.30 a gallon.

So much for a social system working. I bet you get free healthcare too. Sorry to here that buddy but I think we are headed for that here in the states too. The worst part of it all is that we were warned and we voted for it in 2008. Well not everyone. I did not vote for it. My parents came from a communist/socialist country and came here to get away from it. It's like it's following them and haunting us. God help us this 2012 in November.

I get partial free healthcare...and often slow at that. Minimum 6 month wait for an MRI.
Dental and eyes are not covered. We pay for drugs as well. Our issue is doctors. We dont have enough, they all go to the US ha ha.
