I just got another ATK. its either an 88 or an 89. anyone know of any identifiers to tell for sure? the vin sticker is long gone. Right now there is no airbox, so no battery and no button. I know ATKs shared a lot of body parts with KTMs, how about the airbox? Im not sure of the condition of the starter motor and i would like to test it to see if it spins. I have to dig up my old manual, but this is a 12 volt system correct? I have3 yellow wires and a black wire coming from the regulator, and the black battery cable that appear to not be connected to anything right now, what wires do what so i can try to jump the starter? so until i get the battery situation sorted out, what have you guys found to be the best way to kick these bikes over cold? I have the mikuni flat side carb in the bike, what is the stock jetting? and one last question. silencer.....the head pipe is stock but the silencer is a salvage yard special. while it was done ok, for what it is, its pretty loud. I know ive heard and seen pics of the 605s with and FMF silencer of some kind, but cant remember what model or bike it came off of. thanks for the help guys.
