The domain seems to expire from time to time, and I allways worry it's gone for good. Hopefully they'll get it back up. Even though ATK folks are few and far between we're dedicated and I'll bet if Rusty set the site up for donations we could help keep it going.
Just got back from a ride this morning, put on new turn signals, tail light, plate light, plate mount, and muffler end cap. I love that bike.

I'm sure it will be back online in a few days. I used to worry about it too, but after a half dozen times I kinda got used to it lol.

I sold my 1997 605 back in 2007 & I too wished I'd never sold it. I finally picked up a sweet 1999 605 last month and I'll be hanging onto this one for a LONG time!! Those who own one fully understand, those who don't couldn't possibly understand.
There's no such thing as a perfect motorcyle, but for those folks who want a unique, powerful, reliable bike with a great suspension that you don't see 20 just like it on a ride and don't mind wrenching on it themselves, the ATK 605 is without peers.
The only thing that even comes close is the CCM 604, the English "brother" to the ATK 605.

BTW, if you'd like another site that contains info that's fairly pertinent to our 605's i suggest you join the new site the CCM folks are using: http://www.supermoto...play.php?31-CCM
Their old site is closing, but there is still some good info on there: http://www.ccmriders...php?wwwRedirect
BTW, these folks stock some parts for the CCM 604 that will also work on our 605's. They've even got the elusive 21" Talon speedo drive.

well hopefully the site comes up again. ive been on for a few years, and must have just missed the other times it went down. but yeah great place, and i will check out the yahoo group too. shoudl be a regular since i just brought home an 88-89 604 about 10 minutes ago!! airbox is gone, so no battery and no button at the moment. yeah it is as horrible as you think it is to kick only...lol but once i figured the routine and took it down the block, i could not believe i had a 94 605 and sold it!! huge smile! its good to be back!!!!

Thanks for the link to the speedo drive Pantera. I bought one on ebay years ago that was supposed to be right, but I had to make a shim and it's still real sloppy. I've also heard of the Harley drive, and saw your info over at ATKRIDER. I might just break down and slap on the Trail Tech I've had lying around for my Husky. Hell I've had a Scotts stabilizer mount sitting on my work bench for the 605 for years.
Those CCM's were real cool. I remember seeing them at Malcolm's back then. I think they were a bit lighter than the ATK's, and got better reviews in the rags. Of course the ATK's never got much respect when the mags thought the XR600 was best thing going (sic). BTW, whats up with the kickstand?
Posted 02 February 2012 - 06:06 AM
The kickstand does look a bit funky. I guess it's CCM's way of shortening the kickstand for the lower motard versions.

For those Tomb Raider fans, the bike Angelina Jolie rode in the movie was a CCM 644 (Suzuki 650 engine).
