A few months back, my little cousin was pretending to ride my yfz in my basement and I guess he turned the key on and left it on. So the next time I go to ride, the bettery is dead. I tried jumping it with my truck, tried starting it with it on a charger, left it to charge for a while but when I press the start button the electronics just buzz (sorry for the technical term). It isn't acting like the battery is weak because it isn't trying to turn over the engine at all..... I have gotten it started by pulling it with the truck and bump starting it and it still runs great, but it won't start on its own.
Really hoping someone who knows about the electrical system than me get it fixed
Thanks

It sounds like you have a bad battery or a bad connection on one of the cables. Have the battery tested.

i would think if something was wrong with it, it wouldnt run at all, when i get it bump started it works. with jumper cables on the battery terminals it just makes a loud electric buzz, very different from the sound it would make if the battery was struggling to turn the engine over

low voltage will make all kinds of neat sounds thru relays and starter solenoids including buzzes. verify battery condition before trying other electrical tests. the fact that it can be bump started and still runs fine doesn't make the battery good it just proves the charging system and ignition system are working

wouldnt jumping it bypass the battery?

You need to have a very good connection to turn that motor. Try hooking the ground off the jumper cable direct to the engine and see what you get. You probably need a new battery. The battery on the yfz sucks I went through 4 of them. Then I got the Turntech battery no more problems.
