My 14 yr old took over my 2007 250x and I need to get one for me. :bonk: I've been looking and want to get something a little newer. I found a 2009 that sounds nice. I haven't seen it yet but he says he has only ridden it twice less than 40 miles. KBB is $3750 but he is asking $4500. I think he is smokin crack if he thinks he can get $4500, but I'd be willing to pay a little extra for a pristine one. The question is how much?

I paid 3000 for mine 2 years ago and that was a good deal.

More to the seller and less to the buyer. Try to get it as low as you can. But I think 3500-4000 is reasonable I f the bike is truly that pristine. Also how long has he been trying to sell it?

I agree, $3500-4k is about right. These bikes hold their value alot. They stopped shipping them over here in 09, so there has only been a limited amount of them over here til now (2012 models) from what I've read... You really don't see to many of these bikes forsale. When I was looking for mine for about a month, I probably saw less than 10 on the Atlanta Craigslist. I had to go to Charolette NC to get my 07. It was in prestine condition and was listed for $3k still. There is an 04 and 05 for sale by a guy on Georgia Offroad for $2400 and $2500, which shows how good these hold their value! Just my humble opinion :bonk:
Check this out, cool read I saw lastnight on the 2012 CRF250x and WR250f.

Shouldn't you be in the garage tinkering with a carb?

I bought my '09 last year. Left over new stock for $3800.00. They are $4500.00 now at the same place. I see you are in TX and TN is a long, long way for you to go but here is the link.

They were at the dealers new for $3995 at one point. Honda had some incentive money to clear them out.

$4500 is a little steep for a 250, but a 450 would easily bring that.

Well se how it goes. I got all my parts ready for UPS tommrow so it will go back and I'll get a credit by next week so I can finally order my 13t counter and all white side panels from somebody that can get me the right parts!! So frustrating :bonk:

Here it is. It has 36 miles on it. PO dropped it after riding 3 miles and cracked the radiator. No other damage. Stored in an air conditioned storage unit. Never seen one this clean that wasn't on the showroom floor. He was asking $4500 and I bought it for $3850. He paid $5900 for it. That is $1000 per ride.
