I think i am going to buy a 125 because of the fact that they are much cheaper to buy and maintain than a 250f, they are lighter, aswell they are a better bike to learn the sport on (my second year racing)

not sure if i should get a CR or YZ. I think the yz is a better bike power wise but i think i would be more comfortable on a cr since I have an 08 crf 250r right now, plus im a honda guy.

I would be getting a 05+ for either bike and mods would be getting done (pipe, reeds, suspension....etc)

They do not even make CR125's anymore ... buy a YZ and keep it stock until you wear it out - then mod it out.

The YZ 05+ is still arguably the best 125 out there because of suspension and a good engine. The cr125 from what I've heard was plagued with a really bad engine.

What kind of racing? If its mx do a 144 bore and race in school or college boy. I have a 05 yz bored to the 144 and a 2011 rmz 450. The yz is sooooooo fun. I love that bike. I have rode a cr, IMO I didn't like it as much
