Figured I'd bump this up since Labor day is next Monday.

Anyone planning on riding this weekend? I haven't had a chance to get out recently because of how humid/dry it's been and I've also got a new puppy.

With the recent rain, I may have a family member watch the pup and try to get out somewhere this weekend. Anyone heading out anywhere within about a hour of KC?

You might shoot me a PM here soon if you end up doing that. I may go up to Perry on Sunday as well.

Hey guys, I already posted this in the Chadwick Thread, but thought I'd go ahead and post here too....

I'm Dave, new to the area, live in Sedalia, looking for some riding buddies. I'm about 30 minutes north of Walter's. I don't care where I ride as long as I'm riding, but I'm looking to ride Chadwick since everyone says it's one of the best places around.

Details about myself:
26yo
upgraded from an XR400R to a KTM 380 EXC this year
Also interested in trying out enduros and scrambles (may ride Leadbelt Enduro at St. Joe next weekend)

Hope to meet some of you sometime! Feel free to contact me about riding anywhere around KC-Columbia-Springfield area.

You have landed in one of the best places to ride around. If you want to meet some good guys, plan on doing the HGP Hare Scrambles and maybe Trailriders class for a start. Here is the Website Schedule. http://www.hillbilly...m/Schedule.aspx
You are also close to the last of the More Racing Hare Scramble race's too. Great people too, a lot of HGP racers here.  http://www.racemore.net/
Use the HGP Forum to communicate for both series .  http://www.hillbilly....aspx?ForumID=1
Also the WFO Trailriders, http://www.wfotrailriders.com/  You will find footage of both race series here and info, pictures and Video of most riding area's within 300 miles.  To join the WFO Trailriders Web Site just sign in and E Mail me and I will activate you, just give me your website user name and I will find and activate you. This a a general talk forum and show thread.
  Old Man Dave .
I ill be heading to Colorado in 3 weeks and will not be around for 10 days starting the 22nd Sept.

Dave,

Thanks for letting me know about the races around me. I signed up on WFO trail riders.... very cool site to have!

Can any of these races in the HBGP be done or would I have to sign up for the whole series?

Entropic, I recognize that name from somewhere. I am HIGGI in the chess forums.
You can race any of the races and not be eligible for points. Check the numberplate backgrounds required for each group.
The MORE Series is very racer friendly like Dave said.

Anyway , some friends and I are heading out this Saturday for Chadwick. Dave might be coming. I met him at the MORE race in Lockwood. Nice guy.
We'll be camping Sat. somewhere around Camp Ridge. Look for this bike

Account ACTIVATED, 1st post will be in moderation and I will take care of that and you will be able to post freely. Any thing you want to know about the area, some will probably know about.
You can race 1 or as many as you want, I race all the HGP and some of the More because we have WFO Trailriders Events in the summer and some FMHS , the Kansas series.
Be aware of our favorite event, the Spring Mill Creek Arkansas Ride. Check out the Mill Creek Arkansas thread.  If you want to get together soon, we have Jasons playgrounds on Sundays sometimes too.

I'm not on any chess forums....maybe someone else just had the same idea I did.

I may see you Saturday at chadwick. If I remember correctly, can you just camp any old place in a national forest?

New to town and looking for some riding buddies and good places to ride.  Just moved back to the KC area from out West and don't know much about the terrain, riding season.....anything.

I don't do track stuff; but like to ride trails.  Not an expert by any means; but like to go out and spend the day on the bike and camping.  I have a WR450 and I'd really like to get out more often.

If anyone is up for a riding buddy or a tag-along; please let me know.  I'm usually pretty flexible on Fridays and the weekend.

Thanks,

NG

Might be going to Perry again this weekend. Did my first Hare Scramble with FMHSC on Sunday and effed up my foot tho. If I can get it in a boot without too much pain I'll be going.
