Woops! Haven't been on here in a while... Yes, it was done with a GoPro on I think either 10 or 15 second intervals IIRC. Not much in the way of editing. I deleted a few frames where nothing was happening like I had to go take a leak or something :smirk: Other than that I just slowed it down and added the sound.

It runs great! Pulls a lot harder now, too!

As for the Varmint you noticed, I'm not entirely sure. I live way up north but I've heard them called just about every thing you've listed... Farmers hate them and have guys with nice rifles come up and shoot them all day long!

Too bad about the bike! Hopefully another one comes along soon!

Cool!!
Thanks, 762SPR!! I wondered how you guys edited those types of vids. My GoPro edits I've done while mx riding come out kinda crummy. I have Windows XP on the 'puter at home. I've read that editing GoPro files is better & easier on newer versions of Windows (Vista or 7), and better still on a Mac. Member "640AK" makes some really well done ( & Funny!! :D ) videos with just the editing software that comes on his Mac. You seen any of his "Enduro Alaska" vids? At any rate, you did a good job on your vid. I like it!

Another bike will come along, I'm certain. I have a friend here locally that both rides, & puts on, trials events. I've been fortunate enough to ride his GasGas Raga model, and a few other folks' trials bikes of other brands. I wish I'd stayed with trials when I was (much) younger. I've had a lot of fun riding these modern trials bikes. It's still definitely harder than it looks, and more of a workout than I recall from my younger days..... :busted: I'm anxious for my YamahaYZ450 to sell; plan on using that money towards the new plonker.......

On those critters along the highway: My wife thought they were cute. I didn't say this aloud, but my first thought was that they'd make good targets, kinda like you mentioned, hee hee.....

Jimmie

In EDIT: I've been trying the balancing drill like you posted on awhile back, with the board & round piece of plastic pipe. That's a great idea you had there, Sir!

When you do a time lapse video, it just saves a .jpeg picture for each frame. From there I just deleted any unwanted frames, then you select all the files and hit rename. Rename it to whatever and hit enter, it should label each as the name plus a number in ascending order. You don't need to rename if you don't delete any files because they are already in sequence.

I then compiled all of the pictures in Adobe After Effects. Since then I've been messing around with a trial of Adobe Premier. That's Adobe's editing software, After Effects is more for adding... effects... I like premier much better and will probably buy a copy when my trial expires. You can get both programs for windows and mac. It's a myth that macs are better for video editing, mac users just tell themselves that to justify their over prices under powered computers :smirk: If you have XP, you should already have windows movie maker installed. You can use that to edit videos pretty easily. It's not as powerful as paid apps like Sony Vegas or Premier, but it will get the job done and it's free.

I haven't been practicing balance for a while and it shows when I hop on the trials bike sometimes. When I'm moving or doing wheelies my balance is fine, but my static balance is really bad now... I guess I should get back at it.

Prairie dog hunting is supposedly really fun and really good shooting practice because they are so small. I was talking with an ex Recon Marine who took his young son out and he bagged one at 400 yards with his 10/22! I kind of wish they were on our land, but I guess it's better they aren't!...
