Hey guys,

Im new to this forum and dirtbikes in general. I recently bought a 2002 crf450r with a street title from Minnesota. Ive been trying to register it here in Wisconsin and i am about out of ideas. Minnesota says this is a street legal bike ( it even has a plate) but wiscosin won't let me register it because it doesnt have a federal certificate on the frame saying that its an approved street bike. Is there any way to get one of these tags? Is there anyone who has registered a dirtbike in wisconsin that can give me a hand?

please and thanks for the help,
Kyle

That sounds like it would need to come from the manufacturer as street legal. Different states have different rules. Sounds like you should have checked the requirements in your state before you bought a bike from a different state.

Plate it in MIchigan, you can use your Wisconsin address.

If you have a valid Minnesota title for the bike, a simple title transfer should be all you have to do.....or at least that's what I did. Maybe the rules have changed since then.
