non are resonably priced. Having said that I went with the scotts last year- very happy. The scotts only dampens away from center the grp dampens both ways.

I went with an above bar mount- so my bars would not move. I thought I would hit it,when riding but I have not.

motosportz makes a good damper. the unit is adjustable in the mount so if you adjust your handlbar mounts closer or farther you can still keep the pivot centered over the triple stem.

I just installed a GPR V2 on my '12 300XC. Raised the bar about 1". what is just what I needed for a comfortable standing position.

The GPR V2 is $495 complete. You should have bought it before 12/31/11 though, GPR had them on sale for $395.

So the GPR V2 comes with a raiser also?? that would be awesome.

My doubt is wich of the Scott or the GPR dampers come with better techonology or gives me more for my money... I want to be sure of what Im gonna get cuz those dampers are not cheap at all !!!!

The Scotts is the most adjustable out of them all. GPR is nice because it is simple. Some guys have express leaking seals with earlier versions of the GPR, I havent personally though. I went with the GPR V4 due to it low profile and short stem. I run it under the bars.

Yes. It does.
Both the GPR and the Scott's are the same technology, just Scott's gives you a high-speed dampener adjustment, for what reason I don't know, Scott's even says don't adjust it (at least they did years ago).

I've used both and like the Scotts better due to the fact that it only dampens from center out and you can adjust how far out. With the GPR I find that the resistance from center back get's tiring in the tight stuff, that being said I do run the GPRV4 due to the low profile but mostly because I got it for $100 off. I also prefer running under bar as it's more comfortable when standing....

The High Speed damper will come into play when you are running the Low Speed damper loose and you hit something and the bars want to jerk QUICKLY out of your hands. If you do not have a High Speed circuit in your damper and you run it loose on the Low Speed then the bars will move- we normally recomend setting the low speed to where you are comfortable first and you still are getting feedback from the bars then adjust the high speed from there.
Thanks-
Eric

I'm running a scott's. Recently purchased the brp sub mount and hand guard mounts. This setup raised the bar height approximately one inch. Have a set of Moose Flex bars (cr low) in order to get close to stock ride height.

Check out craigslist. A buddy bought his there for around $300 with all mounting hardware.

Has anyone tried, used and installed the Ohlins 2.0? It installs different than most. It wraps around the steering post and does not need a bracket. They are also suppose to be model specific.
