I think the XP is my favorite couch ever, we have a 1996 and it is a blast to ride. Best hull design Sea Doo had for playing around on. It needs some work now though, all the gauges quit working and the VTS system us jacked up too.

Here is my favorite; a 1995 Yamaha Wave Blaster 1.  Basically a dirt bike on the water basically built for one person.  All it wants to do is roll over but once you learn to ride it there isn't anything better for jumping ocean waves except for maybe a stand up.  It corners on a dime and has plenty of pop.  52 MPH on GPS and really squirrely but made to hit hard from slow speed.   Yes, that is glitter in the paint

Bad surf that day.  Me jumping a tiny wave in Virginia Beach October 2008.

Here is my next favorite ski but quickly becoming my favorite.  My 1996 Yamaha Super Jet.  All stock on the outside all modded inside and on the bottom.  I have had it for four years and for some reason I only have this picture of it in the snow.  50 MPH on GPS but hits really hard from the start.  The 90's were a big time for the color purple, it matches the KDX.  The trailer doubles as my KDX220 trailer

Here is the couch.  An 2001 XLT1200.  I think I ride it about once a year but it is fun for the family and goes 63 MPH on GPS.  Pay no attention to the Kawi in the back, it was my first ski.

Yup, I am a Yamasnob when it comes to skis but I go with Kawi on the dirt.

Quite the collection. Those WB1's are a ton of fun to ride! Right there with the X2, I've wanted one of those forever.

It doesn't look like you have much room in the garage for one!  The WB1 are a blast to ride.  I have never ridden an X2 but have friends who own them and love them.  They are hard to find but worth it if you can grab one.

Well the skiis are "shared" with my pops haha, I do all the maintenance on them and in turn get to use them. There was a local guy selling an '89 for $1200, he said I could try it out if I wanted to. Might have to take him up on that, but then I know I'll really want one!

Does it have some after market parts on it?  That is the way to go.  If it at least has a pipe and some handling on it that is a great price.  Otherwise you will want to add it and it gets expensive really fast.  Give it a try if he is offering.  It doesn't take much of a wave to get it up in the air.  I think they are a bit lighter than the WB1.
That isn't a bad deal you have going.  It really evens out if he is paying for the parts.  These things always need some tinkering.  I tell friends they are toys and you have to be able to take care of them yourself or pay someone to do it for you.  I fix them myself LOL.

Yeah it has a Westcoast exhaust, Umi steering, OceanPro rideplate, bored nozzle, impeller (not sure which brand, probably a Skat.) I'm going to give it a try and see if I like it. Only problem is I just bought my KLX a few weeks ago so I don't really have the monies if I do end up liking it haha. I still have the SXI Pro to ride, that thing is a beast.
