Just read it on the web that Mika died in Spain due to an accident a few weeks ago is it true? Hope it aint so.

Sadly that is true. Apparently he had an accident earlier in December while training in Spain and got to a hospital later suffering from internal pains. They say he died because of some complications after surgery. At least that's what the finnish newspapers are saying at the moment. Rest in peace Mika, you were one of the greatest.

Just hoped that it would be some mistake.I totaly agree with you Mika was one of the best RIP Mika you will be misst by everybody.Being from Sweden my first thought was the tragic death of Ronnie Peterson Let´s just hope that this was not another hospital screw up.So sad so sad.

yeah guess we have to wait for a while for a confirmation what really happened. Well it doesn't really matter, he was able to do what he loved most til' the end, it's always sad when someone dies at his age but I agree with you hope it was not a screw up. I wish strength to his family.

Damn,...just sucks.  Mika Ahola was one of the first contenders on the endurocross circuit, in the beginning, when the events were invite only.  A long time player in the W.E.C.  Always showed sportsmanship and good attitude when interviewed.  The world of dirt bike racing has lost yet another shining star in the universe of  excellence.
