KTM has been around since before world war 2. I think they are still the largest bicycle manufacturer in the world. They have old european bank that makes Hasselhoff look like chump change. All of those old eurpean companies do. Remember when Mercedes came out of the woodwork and bought up Chrysler and most of the heavy truck industry here? Do you think Hasselhoff could buy all of the KTM inventory in the world right now??????

LOL now Chrysler is owned by Fiat and Mercedes went home with that whopping $1.00 profit they made, apparently back to the woodwork. Would that european bank be Bajaj?? :bonk:  :smirk:

The really astounding thing about the purchases that Mercedes made is that most were made in cash.......... Astronomical bank!!!!

Ktm are still overrated motorcycle ,Frame rusting machine!

You don't know very much, do you? The Japanese dominance of the dirt bike world is over! Bikes by commitee do not compare to bikes made for specific purposes no matter what they're made out of. Bikes that work out of the box are far superior to bikes that can't be made to work no matter what you do with them. Ride a KTM and you'll never go back to that aluminum frame piece.................

I don't want to get into an orange vs big four yak and this is way off topic for this thread. I do think KTM's hookup with Bajaj is very strategic and points in the same direction as the big four. Also, the Japanese may be giving up on volume sales in the US but I don't think their dominance is over in the developing world where dirtbikes can still be family transportation.

Veering a bit off topic here....but Short and Alessi are finishing about the same on their 450's (Zuki and Honda) as they were on their 350 KTM's last year. At least their finishes are "Short-like and Alessi-like". No question that these two are talented and fast, but there are about 5 guys that are faster. Their starts are probably a bit better though.

KTM needed to sign a contender to be in it, and they did so when they signed when they signed Dungey. If Dungey has a decent lead toward the end of the series, maybe he should ride the 350?

Maybe Stewart would ride for KTM, but I'm sure he doesn't like "White Power" suspension.
