...Imagine that: JS7 1st, CR22 2nd, RV2 3rd. No KTM on the podium when everyone keeps the bike under them. I guess Dungey was riding smartly conservative. :smirk:

IMO He rode the same race he always rides, quick but conservative. He didn't get a good start, took him a while to get by others and is not fast enough to chase down the top 3 after spotting them 10 seconds or so. Lap times were on par with the podium guys, 4th is a good result all things considered.

Everyone has admitted that Dungey doesn't have the passing chops that the other top guys have, so no surprise here.

However the big surprise is "the guy who has it under control" and would "run away with this series" if he got a decent start...well he got a decent start AND STILL COULDN'T PASS STEWART OR REED.

Getting stuck in the middle of the pack in turn 1 is not my idea of a good start.

That #5 is still sitting in a RED background for round 5.  Evidently he's been fast enough.

Let's see he also won his heat race and set the fastest laptimes, so ya he sucks....

This is as silly a post as any of the other hugger posts I read in these forums. Guy doesnt finish on the podium for one round and we should just throw in the towel and hand over the 1 plate to someone else.

Reminds me of all the guys that said RD couldnt win on the KTM, and the guys saying JS7 doesnt have what it takes anymore and this season was over for him b/c 17 points is too much to come back from... Guess what, your all wrong. Any one of the top 4 still have a shot at the title. I dont think the 5 guy (whoever that may be) has what it takes to hang in the long run. My guess is that all of these guys will win again this season, and any of them have a shot to go on a run and create a little seperation.

Let the stoning begin!

Nothing like taking a couple of paragraphs to not get to the point.

RD reminds me of one of those old cartoons where all of the rabbits blow by the cool headed turtle and then right before the finish line the turtle comes trotting by the piled up wreck of rabbits and gives them a little salute before he crosses the line first for the win. It is a long season and even though JS won this one I'm still saying he won't be there for the points chase at the end. Reed will be tough, RV will be the man to beat if he starts to put it all together and Dungey will have to turn up his aggressiveness to deal with #22 & #1.

I can't throw a stone that far to hit you but if you'll give me you're home address I'll mail you a shit bomb instead!! :smirk:

I wrote a one line jab at the 200 plus hyper posts that KTM kool-aid drinkers ejaculated all over TT. You, on the other hand, garbled out a mishmash of double-speak and condescension. S'all good Nancy.

Go Bajaj-KTM

I think an easier question would be, what is not "japanese-like" on the new KTM ?
It's got linkage, it's got FI, it's got a "newer, more compact, unicam engine".
There is nothing "revolutionary" about this bike, it has simply been brought up to par with it's Japanese counterparts.

Like I said before, I am not trying to knock KTM. I'm simply saying that they didn't reinvent the wheel, they just painted the wheel orange.

KTM's had linkage way before they had PDS. KTM was late to the FI party...I really don't know why, nor do I care. Yamaha's YZ250F is still carbed. KTM's unicam engine has nothing in common with the Honda motor, except that they both have one cam. All of the other Jap bikes are DOHC designs, so I really don't know what your point was regarding engine design. What about wave rotors, fat bars, juice clutches, electric start, steel braided clutch/brake lines, billet triple clamps? Seems to me that Jap bikes are starting to look a lot like Austrian bikes lately.

LOL

Sounds like the Jap works bikes look more like showroom KTM's than RD's factory bike
