So you would be assuming you were offering anything new? Anyone who reads Racerxonline, Transworldmotocross, or Vitalmx knew last night after the team boss gave his interview. Some of us even took to youtube to actually watch the wreck and post up that it was a tuff block cover...I don't think you gave any of that info about the wreck, because you didn't see it...just read about it. Without context, inaccurate injury updates is just a waste of time.

dungey still needs to grow a pair or it will be another close season that he gives away with one or two moto wins. Just my opinion... he has everything it takes to win another championship, but if he doesnt take advantaeg of every chance at a moto win RV is gonna steal another one away based on how hes riding

+1^^. RD can give RV a run for his money when he get's motivated but it just seems ( and I'm only speculating here) that he holds back until he is totally comfortable with a pass on riders he should just blow by and not think twice. I respect Dungey for being probably the cleanest passing rider out on the track but at the same time it would be nice to see him get a little more physical and muscle his way to the front in a more timely manner. I'm in no way trying to give riding advice to a Pro champion here but if Andrew Short decides to retire soon or can't find a ride in the near future it would be nice to see him hired on by KTM to teach Dungey some aggressive riding techniques.

Right... I totally agree! I have no room to tell him or anyone else how to ride but at the same time its obvious! He has one of my favorite styles on the track and i think he could dominate but he needs to up the aggression a little. Im not talking move out of his comfort zone because he already has the speed to make things happen but he will admit that he falls into a slower riders pace while looking for a spot to pass. Guarentee you no one else will give him the same treatment. He needs to go get what he deserves and wants. I cant count on my hands and feet the number of motos he should have won but didnt because he was waiting for the right moment to pass. He simply has ran out of time too many times waiting for clean passes to come while the leaders ran away with things, esp outdoors where he was often the fastest on the track.

I have nothing against off-road riders, and I definitely won't argue that hardcore off-road riding is much harder than MX, it's just not my cup of tea. Pulling up to the starting gate with 20 other knuckleheads every Sunday, seeing that 30 second board come up, and knowing that in just a few seconds all hell is gonna break loose is what I love.

No need to speculate. Dungey, also seems to agree with you although the strategy has to be satisfying to this point for his new employers, if not the fans. I don't think anyone other than possibly Roger D. can convince him to change.
If Villo gets out of his thrilling leave the track and come through the pack mode soon, it's all over!

RD has scored a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the first three races , "riding in his comfort zone " as some say.

Why do you think he lets JS7 pass him in the heat races and generally stays out of his way?
He doesn't want to get hurt and loose his chance at the championship and we all know how many people JS7 takes out.

I think u took my post too literally... RD would be defending back to back champioships both indoors and out if he just made a few passes a tad earlier. How many races did he settle for a 3rd or the 2nd in motos that he should have pulled out a 1st. Like i said, im no one to tell RD how to be a champ. Just pointing out things i see as a fan. Perfect example is the JB17 incedent last mx season, that could have easily ended any championship hopes he had for that season and there was no reason he should have still been behind him at that point in the race. He was the fastest guy on the track that day and followed JB for 5 or 6 laps before he decided to make a move. If you dont agree then so be it but its pretty obvious in my eyes

KTM's has already won. They took their first SX win and even if they finish in the top three it's a payday at the showroom.
I'll bet the KTM higher-ups are already dancing with the results from Dungey and DeCoster already.

Gotta admit the the #1 plate would make things soo much sweeter. Esp. Towards all the people that thought KTM would never be good enough. Theres still those people that will say it was a fluke win. Even though we know it wasnt.

Got to give KTM credit they've been working HARD on their bikes for a long time to get to this point. Complete design change in..... what was it 98? Then engine work and their latest, their suspension set-up by dropping the PDS.
Now, I'll be waiting to see their SX line come out with an Aluminum frame in the next few years.... and not because it's superior to Steel but to public pressure.

I have to lol at the KTM comments from the MX only guys in this thread. Winner of every major off-road championship in the U.S. last year, just went 1-2-3 in SX, and we get..."do you think they should test KYB or Showa instead of WP?" Not sure what it takes to convince you guys that the bike is competitive, but if KTM hasn't done it yet, I guess it's a lost cause.
