We called it off, radar showed too much rain. Tomorrow isn't looking any better. :bonk:

Called Richard at 11:22 & he said just some sprinkles so far & 45 riders there, so who knows? It's an hour & 10 minute drive for me.... :smirk:

Somebody let us know how it was.

We didn't go and none of my friend's nor I can ride tomorrow, so guess we are gonna try to plan our Brushy trip again (for the 4th time now) for next Saturday.

Well that's what you get for listening to the weather person. (gotta be politically correct) The rain gauge showed barely enough to measure, somewhere close to 1/20 inch. That's like a heavy fogs worth of moisture. The sun even tried to shine through a couple of times today. Guys on bikes were climbing the hill climb and making it to the top. All the single track was being ridden and they were making it through. It rained around us all day but we dodged the bullet. It does look like we will be getting some rain tonight but if we are lucky not much. We WILL BE OPEN SUNDAY and I will be answering the phone after 8:30 AM.

Anyone familiar with the trails at Brushy Moutain? Thinking of taking a trip there this winter from Pa. 8 hour drive, want to make sure its worth it. I like the idea of the single track trails. Been to Hatfields twice, Trails there are ok but i dont like 2 direction trails and all the dirt roads needed to ride to get to the single track. Plus the weather gets better the further south we go!

Tobit...Brushy is a great place to ride. We've made the get-out-of-Pa's-sucky-weather trip to Brushy twice now and had a great time both times. Richard (TR1) runs a first class operation with an awesome trail system. And the NC guys like Gmoss always like to school us northeners in the ways of their red soil.

Hey Oldmanx, Thanks for the info. We are headed down there March 15th. Planning on riding that Friday Saturday and Sunday. Gonna be a long ride home. Bones and muscles tend to stiffen up after riding for three days then sitting in a truck for 8 hours! What part of Pa. are you in? Ever ride Marienville or Rocky Gap? Thats are main stomping grounds. What about the riding passes? Should i buy them in advace or just get them at the trail?

If you are riding Brushy, you will just pay when you get there.

Seriously, give me a shout when you get close. I am going to put it on my calender to ride that weekend with you. Are you wanting to ride anywhere else besides Brushy?

I will have been off the bike for 2 months at that point, just getting back at it, so I will be plenty sore just for one day. hehe I will likely be able to ride Saturday or Sunday. Just will have to see how my wife's work schedule is.

Did you make it gosupaintballer? We got there on time, left at about 3:45. Stopped at the parking lot a couple of times but didn't see you there. Great day of riding, did 9a, 5c, goat, enduro, some 1a & 1b. Some snow flurries but it melted the instant it hit the ground.
